On episode 56 of the show we are joined by Karine Gevorgyan, graduate of the Institute of Asian and African Countries at Moscow State University. During the days of the Soviet Union she had worked as a translator in Kabul and taught Persian. After the collapse of the USSR she was an expert on the Committee on CIS Affairs of the Russian State Duma. Gevorgyan is also a former head of the political science department of the magazine "East" (Oriens) of the Academic Publishing Center "Science" of the Russian Academy of Sciences. She often appears on various Russian political talk shows as an expert on the Caucasus, CIS countries and the Middle East.
